The site, previously a rear garden with a disused outbuilding and a yellow brick garage fronting Little Ilford Lane, was reimagined for the construction of a new dwelling.

We designed and delivered the home, setting it back from Little Ilford Lane to create defensible space. Rendered masonry walls were positioned to bookend this space, offering both privacy and protection for the occupants.

A carefully chosen material palette allowed the dwelling to seamlessly blend into its surroundings, while the folded, irregularly angled façade, along with the textured brickwork and detailing, added visual interest and a touch of playfulness to this compact infill site in East London.
