Barnett's Wood

This residential project focused on reimagining the ground floor to enhance both functionality and character. The adaptations included enlarged existing openings, repositioning interior walls, and adding an extension that harmonised with the original character of the home.


These alterations and additions served to provide better physical and visual connectivity between the raised garden, new internal and underused internal spaces though improved circulation between the spaces.


The extension was designed to unlock the potential of the ground floor, featuring a striking vaulted ceiling and well proportioned openings that introduced abundant natural light. The space was ample enough to accommodate a new kitchen and dining area, fulfilling the clients’ vision for a more spacious, open layout.


The interplay of light, vistas and improved circulation created strong visual links and connectivity throughout the ground floor of the dwelling.
